It is so hard to believe that December is already here! Wow time does fly!
Last week our Thanksgiving was a huge success. The food was delicious and the children were great performing their Thanksgiving songs! I want to thank you for sharing in that beautiful moment with us! Remember if you have video or photos from this event to please upload to https://abcdeleon.shutterfly.com/
This first week of December has already been so busy! We reviewed letters A-K. We are going over the name of each letter and what special sound each makes.
We are practicing number recognition and exploring the concept of what number come before or after each number between 1-5
We learned the word hibernation and that some animals sleep all winter.
We are discussing animals and classifying them into groups of birds, mammals, reptiles and fish.
We read “What do You Do with a Tail like This?” and the children really enjoyed learning interesting facts about different animals.
Next week we will continue discussing animals and their homes or habitats.
Please continue exploring these concepts at home to extend learning.
We have started practicing for the CME Holiday show that will take place on Tuesday December 9th & Wed. 10th at 7 pm.
Pre-k will only perform on Tuesday Dec 9th
Thank you to all who have sent the 2 dollar donation to receive the show tickets. Ticket holders will have preferred seating in the audience.
**** Please let me know if you will allow your child to participate during the show so we can prepare accordingly. It will start at 7:00 PM. Please have your children here half hour early (6:30). They can come to our classroom while parents look for seating. I ask that they please wear jeans and a white t-shirt.
