I can barely believe that April has snuck up on us and is flying by very fast.
The children may have told you about how they were tricked into accepting a brown E on April Fools day… I have a little clip of that funny moment caught on camera, I will update it to our Shutterfly site. No worries, they did get a real treat after the trick.
I am looking forward to our weekend meetup on Saturday. Safari Edventure is a neat place and I am sure the children will enjoy it.
We have been learning about nature around us, the weather and how seeds grow. We’ve discussed sounds at the beginning and also at the end of words. We discussed being nice to our friends and using kind words.
The children can tell you about our apple experiment. We took turns passing around an apple and saying nice things to it. Then took turns hitting and saying mean things to a second apple. I cut both apples in half to show the children how broken and crushed people can feel when mean things are said to them. This serves as a visual reminder to always treat others with respect. Now all I have to say is “remember the apple” when I hear harsh words between the children. I think they got it! ☺
I will administer the 3rd and last VPK assessment and will be scheduling meetings with you for mid-May to discuss the results.
*June 3rd will be our prek end of year celebration
